Headlines and covers have turned overwhelmingly to urgent matters ranging from the climate crisis to widespread systemic racism, while also documenting the ever-changing situation surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.Ĭovid-19 of course influenced the media in other ways, namely the very means of production. It’s a collective behaviour that has manifested in magazine covers that have in many ways felt quieter, giving breathing room for images to speak for themselves. ![]() Yet this year has been one where nobody has known what is around the corner, and it’s forced us all to pause, take stock and reflect. Magazines are often searching for what’s next.
